Teen Calm Review And Win A Teen Calm Box

Win a Teen Calm box

We have kept busy during lockdown by putting some of the most awesome subscription boxes to the test. Recently, I featured a round up of our favourite subscription boxes that will certainly delight all when they land on your doorstep. Liv’s favourite was the Teen Calm Box as it was totally aimed at her and included some pretty awesome tween/teen related goodies to keep her entertained during lockdown and beyond. Read on to find for a Teen Calm review and for your chance to win a Teen Calm Box!

Teen Calm Review

Teen Calm Box Contents

Have you noticed how hard it is to buy presents for tween and teenage children? The Teen Calm Box offers subscription options that really help solve that problem! Receiving a bundle of surprise treats really does boost anyone’s spirit, whilst navigating lockdown and beyond. Sending a Teen Calm Box is just like sending a big, squidgy virtual hug and love to the recipient!

Created by a mother (Cathy) and daughter (Freya) team, the aim of the box is to spread self-love and happiness for tweens and teens who need a little more reassurance when facing the world. Life has developed so much over the years and with that comes more insecurities and self doubt, Cathy and Freya realised this and developed this amazing concept! The pressures on young adults these days is more immense than ever before and sometimes, we need a little reminder of how to take a step back and relax.

What Is In A Teen Calm Box?

Liv’s box was a mystery selection aimed at girls aged 12-16 years, filled with lots of treats including: helpful gifts, stress- reducing toys and relaxation inducing goodies. Liv received (pictured above):

  • Cute Co-Zeez rabbit shaped slippers
  • W7 egg shaped lipbalm ball
  • W7 Coconut 3D Sheet Mask
  • Crystal Putty
  • How To Be Calm Book
  • Wish Bracelet
  • Affirmation cards
  • Love Hearts

Teen Calm Affirmation Cards

What Did We Think Of The Box?

The affirmation cards are such a wonderful touch, reminding us all of compliments to offer, but also remind ourselves of. They are super handy to have with you in your bag, on your wall or even pinned to your locker at school.

Liv was over the moon with all the pamper goodies and dashed off immediately. When she returned she was wearing her face mask and padding around in her new slippers stating how comfy they were! They have been seriously hard to take off her feet ever since!
The putty was a lovely touch and has been something Liv has loved playing with and making for a while. This time, I didn’t have to clean up the mess of making our own! The ‘How To Be Calm’ book has some great pointers in for Liv to take onboard, but I did think this was possibly aimed at someone a little older, but it was a lovely treat for me!

On a whole we were both overjoyed taking part in a Teen Calm review opportunity, it really does make a wonderful gift idea. Whether for Christmas, Birthdays, a year round treat or for Secondary school transition in September.

Teen Calm Box for Tween Girl

I have been relaxing more by reading, I’ve got through about 3 books which is good for me. I take 5 minutes to myself either at the end of my bed or on the back door step and just breath in and out slowly. I appreciate everything that is around me. Then later on I’ve popped the music channel on and had a good old boogie with my daughter… Blow away a feel cobwebs.

I’m struggling a bit to find time to relax to be honest! There’s just more to do, with more people at home needing more meals and care, making more mess! There’s homeschooling an anxious autistic teenager, too, and taking care of a septuagenarian mum who is terrified and lonely, and a dad who is shielding twenty minutes from where I live. To carve out a bit of time for myself, I hide in the bathroom and scroll through twitter, and listen to podcasts and audiobooks while I do the housework.
