Project 366 Week 34 – What Has Been Happening During August

Can you believe it’s almost back to school time? With all the weeks morphing into one, it feels like the whole year has been one long Summer holiday! But here we are, on week 34 of 2020!

Project 366 Week 34 – What Has Been Happening During August

I haven’t written a Project 366 post in a few weeks as I have been childfree and my time wasn’t spent as it usually is… so let’s check out what has been happening during August!

what has been happening during August

Well, this one is back now and suddenly, the nice tidy house that I have had for the past 2 weeks isn’t as tidy again. Ah well, it was good whilst it lasted! The first thing Liv did when she came home was to jump on the sofa and cover up with the finished crochet blanket. It is HUGE! I am now working on the next blanket, so have a feeling this new crochet hobby will keep me occupied for some time!

Trip for an ice cream

What Did We Do Today?

Today we ventured out in the rain for a trip to our favourite ice cream haunt. I chose a Haribo filled ice cream which was absolutely delicious… the diet can start tomorrow! 😉

The house was very quiet whilst Liv free… it isn’t now! 😉 With another 2 weeks before we embark on our Secondary school journey, our time is going to be spent preparing and picking up last minute things needed.

The Weeks Are Flying By

The past few weeks have flown by in a blur really, with days all rolling into one. Trips to see Jen, long chats with the lovely Karen and trips to Bury market… which was utter madness! You would never believe that we have been in a partial lockdown in Bury! Seriously… I shouldn’t have to tell an old lady off for pretty much sitting on my lap… 2 metres love!

I am however up to speed with The Real Housewives of New York which just seems to get better and better. If you are looking for a guilty pleasure binge watch, then I can totally recommend it! As I am up to speed, I’ve had to move onto Below Deck now, which is another trashy American reality show, but there is something about the super yachts!

Life is going to be full on now, especially on the slide towards Christmas, but I am back now and ready for weekly updates on what we have been up to!

  4. Oh my goodness, did you really have to mention the word Christmas ?!! I’ve just sorted out the birthdays – I need a break before I get my head around anything festive !! Great to have Liv back – even worth all the mess in the house again, I bet ! We’re back to school tomorrow (me) and Tuesday (the kids) – boo ! I love your crochet blanket – it looks so warm and snuggly. Perfect for TV binges in the colder weather 🙂 And that ice cream – I’d never thought of putting sweets in ice cream but oh yes, that sounds good ! 🙂

  5. The blanket looks fabulous – I am thinking of doing some craft projects if we get locked down again. I need to find a use for some old school jumpers that are no longer the current uniform colour, but have too much life in them to chuck. Good luck with the move to secondary school.

  7. The blanket looks amazing so clever. I have so many crafting projects I want to do that I am going to be taking time off from blogging in the evening otherwise they will never get done. Good luck with the school prep. I need to start thinking about that too but so far I have just been putting it off!

  8. Oh, the ice cream with Haribos! My guys would love it. The blanket looks gorgeously cosy. It must have been strange to be child-free for a couple of weeks. I still haven’t finished buying uniforms for the next week, just cannot source the school trousers in the right size, eek.

  9. I have to agree, back to school has definitely crept up on me this year (perhaps because all the days and weeks seem to have rolled into one over lockdown!). We havent been up to much apart from trying to get uniform and school shoes etc and fitting in a few trips to the beach and park!

  15. I think I stopped cleaning my living room as it is constantly filled with toys. I get my kids to sort it out now whenever they want to watch some TV, that Haribo filled ice cream looks so delish!

  17. We are still on lock down and haven’t been anywhere outside the neighborhood since March 16th. Yes, it has been that long. I keep my sanity by tending to my potted plants. I binge watch a lot and try new recipes. Well, that’s just about it for me for the past 5 and a half months. BTW, that blanket looks really nice.

  18. That blanket’s great. I give up with big blankets because they get unwieldy and I get bored. Some people just seem to have either forgotten about or just don’t agree with social distancing.
