Book a kid friendly hotel

Child friendly hotels offer so much for families as they are totally geared up to provide a great holiday for parents and children alike. Whether that be having child friendly ameneties and early evening entertainment or a kids club with daily activities, you can guarantee your child will have a holiday packed with fun!

Pack snacks, snacks and more snacks

You never know when you will encounter a delay – a delayed flight or train can cause a significant level of stress. As adults we can cope with the extra wait, however children can become restless which can add to stress of the situation. This is where extra snacks and drinks always come in very handy! Keeping children occupied really does help the travel process.

Wrap up new gifts

A trick that I have personally used is to purchase a new notebook, colouring pencils and small toys- usually shops such as Home Bargains have very reasonably priced stationery. Wrap the gifts up and present them to your child when travelling. It’s a great distraction and makes the travel process a little more exciting for everyone involved.

Whilst these are a few tried and tested methods that do help making travel with kids a little easier, there are still so many fun things to do at home if you aren’t holiday bound. There are always so many educational activities for kids to do at home and still have fun! Lockdown proved that there is still so much to learn and do at home that enable children to evolve, so if you choose to stay at home during the half term, make it fun!
