We learned very quickly this year that picking up a good book and fully immersing yourself if a great form of escapism. I’ve always known that, however time was never on our side… for most of this year, it really was! Let’s take a look at Personalised Books from In The Book.
Finding a book swap hamper was a highlight of our lockdown walks! I hoovered up several romance novels whilst lazing in the garden, with Liv getting stuck into good reads too. However, there is nothing quite like a classic. So the chance to check out the In The Book range of personalised books was a great excuse to choose a trusted favourite that Liv would love!

Personalised Gifts For Teens
It has been many moons since I organised a personalised book for Liv. So it was refreshing to notice a books for teenagers section on the In The Book site. Whether you are gift shopping for children or adults, there is wide range of reading materials on the site. The books are perfect for all occasions that can easily be personalised to create a wonderful keepsake.
It was an easy decision! As soon as I spotted Swallows and Amazons, I knew it was the perfect book for Liv! Something she has not had the chance to read yet. A book I loved when I was younger and as a little adventurer. I knew she would just immerse herself in it and soak up the fabulous story.
Snuggling up with her fleecy blankets in her comfy corner with a good read is the perfect escapism from all the homework that is currently being loaded onto her!
Why choose to personalise books
What makes it even more special is the ability to personalise not only the front cover of the hardback book, but also include a special message in the book too. The personalised aspect really does change a book into a keepsake, something special that needs to be cherished.
The actual Swallows and Amazons by Arthur Ransome hardback book is quite hefty! Priced at £14.99 which includes the personalisation on the front cover and up to 80 character message on the inside. I find this very reasonable for a gift that has such meaning.
Delivery starts from £3.99, though quicker options are available. I found delivery to be really quick. Quicker than expected, however that isn’t an excuse to leave present buying until the last minute!
Buying Books from In The Book
The copy and illiustrations in the book are fantastic! As you can see, it was a struggle to hold the book apart for images. But with 350 pages in total, it will be a good read for Liv!
Gift box options are available on a selection of books to add prestige to your very special gift. If you’re in a hurry for last minute Christmas gift inspiration, In the Book offer a next day delivery option. This is for personalised softback books placed before 12pm.
Whether you have a birthday occasion coming up or you are searching for Christmas gift ideas, In The Book have a vast range to choose from!

This is such a great idea! I have a bookworm son who would love this. I remember him receiving a personalised book as a small child but this would have even more meaning now. #PoCoLo
I love personalised books we always get them with the kids names in for xmas. During lockdown we had a swap and share library on our street and it was amazing
I’ve probably read more with my kids this year but not had much time for myself.
This is such a wonderful idea! Jack is such a bookworm, a personalised book like this would make a wonderful birthday or Christmas gift for him.
I love the idea of a personalised book hamper although I am more kindle than I am hard copies.
Swallows and Amazons was one of my favourite books growing up and I love that they do a personalised version. What a lovely gift idea
This is a really lovely idea. I find book gifts very lovely anyway as it shows you really know someone if you get them a book they like or recommend one, so a personalized one makes it extra special

I love the idea of a personalised book, I remember a friend having one many many years ago and I thought it was such a clever and special idea! Another way to help people get immersed inside a book.
I love personalised books as they make the book a little more special. I am a firm believer in loving books and reading and have always done this with my kids and now grandchildren
