Champagne At Seven Review And Book Blog Tour

I started 2023 with a goal of reading more books and so far I am sticking to it! Recently, I have been reading Champagne at Seven!, book one in the Bitches of Fifth Avenue series written by Toni Glickman as part of a book tour with Literally PR.

If you loved The Devil Wears Prada, then this book is definitely for you! Admit it, we all love a bit of gossip, especially when it involves someone else, and the elite world. It’s escapism and that’s exactly what this book is in 242 pages!

Who do we meet in Champagne At Seven!

“Olivia Wyatt, a mid-40’s, rich Washingtonian who beautifully plays the part of mother, socialite, philanthropist, wife and Stepford cut-out doll in the chardonnay and whiskey-wrapped superficial world in which she lives.

Her exclusive last minute D.C. dinner party didn’t quite end how she had anticipated. Tragic news was served up late night instead of her planned dessert of luscious and blissful black forest cake. Olivia and her daughter, Gwynnie, suddenly need to rebuild their lives… and themselves.”

The opening chapter when you meet Olivia, the female protagonist, who is preparing for an at home party is very fast paced. You can almost picture the scene… think Charlotte from SATC and her style apartment… with some swears thrown in!

I quite like that addition as it makes Olivia’s feisty character more human and relatable, especially when faced with the elite world she lives in. She really is such a strong female lead, and the author helps her to come across well. Her character is so real and resilient that you cannot help but will her to succeed and beat all the odds.

Is it possible to reinvent yourself in your 40’s, when the life you know totally changes? Olivia certainly gives it her best shot, with the story really reeling you in.

If you are looking for a feel-good read that you simply cannot put down, then this is it! If you do not get the chance to read a copy of the book now, then it certainly needs to find its way into your bag for summer travels.

The easy to read book is brought to life with the authors very true-to-life depiction of the Georgetown social scene. I imagine that has shaken some tail-feathers, but it all just makes the book even better!

Bitches Of Fifth Avenue Series

Champagne at Seven! is the first book in the Bitches of Fifth Avenue series, with Cutthroat Couture (Book 2) and Designer Deceit (Book 3) coming very soon, I hope!

The first book really has reeled me in and I am invested, just like I was with Real Housewives series on TV. However, this is the book form and is even better as you imagine that life and the scenarios, though Toni Glickman paints the scenes very well.

Where can you buy a copy of Champagne At Seven!

Available in paperback and Kindle from Amazon. You can currently purchase Champage At Seven! in paperback form for £13.14 and £6.58 for the Kindle version.

More About Toni Glickman

Having spent twenty years working in fashion retail, Toni Glickman knows a thing or two about working alongside and navigating ‘bitchy’ colleagues.

These days, she is more settled as a real estate agent, which has given her time to pen the Bitches of Fifth Avenue Series.

It’s hard to believe Champagne at Seven! is Toni Glickman’s debut novel as it is fantastically written and reader’s cannot help but find themselves totally immersed in this ‘can’t put me down’ book.

  1. I often think ‘oh that sounds like a good book, then I forget or lose my piece of paper with the details. I’ve set myself a challenge of a book a week throughout 2023. I’m well on target for the year. Thanks for joining in with #pocolo
