It’s the end of a long week and we can finally sit back, relax and look over our memories! We started the week with a trip to the Winter Wonderland Manchester launch party. Followed by further Christmas fun throughout the week with friends! Read on to find out what we have been up to!
A Night Of Fun At Winter Wonderland Manchester
It felt great to be surrounded by lights, noise, laughter and more importantly, blogger friends I have not seen for at least 2 years. It actually felt like there was light at the end of the tunnel!
Unfortunately, with the introduction of new restrictions including wearing masks, Silcock’s Winter Wonderland will have to address this. Waiting for our time slot to enter, there were a couple of hundred people stood in close proximity not wearing masks.
Once in the event though and it was great to see how spaced out the rides, stalls and seating were. If you are heading to the indoor theme park, bear in mind there maybe slightly more people at the venue during your visit.
Indoor Theme Park For Families
The kids were eccstatic to be let loose and headed straight for one of over 50 family rides at the event.
Alongside rides there are an array of shows on the main stage. Including from TV stars Daisy and Ollie and a fabulous Christmas Circus, all with daily performances.
Helen from Casa Costello mentioned that the Circus was spectacular! There is also a Santa’s Grotto for families with younger children. We missed out on the circus as Jen and I were too busy chatting to everyone we saw, including Louis Emerick’s family who were beyond lovely.
I couldn’t resist the opportunity to say hello to Joe who plays Jacob in Emmerdale. The soap is a guilty pleasure of mine and Liv’s and it was fabulous to meet him!
How much is food at Winter Wonderland Manchester?
Tickets are £37.50 (peak time) for anyone aged over 3 years old. Under 3 years are free. If you are going to take full advantage of every ride and show in your 4 hour slot, then it is great value.
The food and drinks are a tad on the pricey side though. Chips and a can/bottle of water will set you back £6. So bear that in mind when packing treats to take with you. There are lots of food stalls to choose from, including pizza and burritos, but chips are the cheapest food item.
I’m glad we were invited back to Winter Wonderland Manchester and it’s great to see Silcock’s back at the helm of this awesome Manchester based event. We all enjoyed it, especially Liv who was happy to tell all her friends about it.
Business Curry Club Christmas Meal
Jen and I had been looking into local social groups and both loved the idea of a Business Curry Club. Meeting up for networking over a curry once a month sounded fabulous.
Add in Christmas decorations and we finally had a Christmas Do! It was great to get out and meet local business owners and just generally socialise. It was totally random, we didn’t know what to expect, especially with a group that has met up many times before, but it was great fun!
I’m sure we will be looking into other social groups whilst we await the next curry club meetup!
A Quieter End To The Week
Fortunately, the rest of our week was a tad more sedate! Liv enjoyed her Christmas party at Guides and we met up with friends and family. At this point, like many, I am waiting for the moment to turn off my alarm clock!
With Liv finishing school next Friday, we will be able to fully immerse ourselves in the Christmas spirit. The emphasis is on keeping safe and well now so that everyone can enjoy Christmas.
This week has been awesome though, a real taste of ‘normal’ life and I’m glad we managed to get out and about. Though for now, I am sofa bound waiting for the Strictly semi-final results, hoping Rose has made it through to the final next week!

Not watching Strictly, I haven’t for 10+ years. I did catch I’m a celeb though as my son and his wife watch it. The Winter Wonderland looks and sounds amazing, but yes a bit pricy and as for the food costs????? Glad you were able to meet up with your blogging friend and enjoy a Curry Club lunch
Looks like a fun event, might have to consider it for my return trip next year. Although I will make sure I arrive without my usual appetite if the food is pricey! Glad you enjoyed meeting a soap start too. Love the pics making me feel more festive, I think these events are a great thing to do after the uncertainty of the last few years. Well done you networking too, would be fun to try something like that. Your alarm clock is off now – enjoy! x

Wow this sounds like a great day out with loads to do. Although the thought of 200 people not wearing masks freaks me out a little bit. The idea of a monthly curry club sounds fun. We have been keeping low key over the last couple of weekends just keeping everything crossed we make it to Christmas.
This looks like a lovely day out even if it a bit pricey. There seems to be something there for everyone in the family to enjoy though. #project365
Winter Wonderland Manchester looks amazing and there certainly seems to be plenty to do there. £6 for chips and a drink is very pricey though. Glad Liv enjoyed her Guides Christmas party. We enjoyed watching the Strictly semi-final and were very happy with the final three! #project365

Looks like you have a fantastic time at the Winter Wonderland. Lovely to do normal things and have fun. Fantastic amount of family rides there. We’ve been to Swansea Winter Wonderland a couple of times (the most local to us, the joys of living in the stick in Wales) but it quite small in comparison.

We went to the one in London years ago which was amazing sadly C started feeling ill on the way up there which marred it a little, we do keep meaning to go back
I’ve seen the Manchester winter wonderland on a couple of people’s feeds now. It looked good, but yes was a little crammed in at the beginning. Hopefully you have a calm last week before the holidays.
It was just as fabulous as I remembered from the last time we went! It was a great way to kickstart Christmas! I’m hoping on a calmer week too! 😉
